How much space do you need to leave for the Floorify transition profile?
To install the Floorify transition profile, you need to leave a clearance of 26 mm between the two floor panels. Take into account the width of the profile as well as the expansion joint between both floors and the rail of the profile.
Calculation:
5 mm expansion joint (left) + 5 mm expansion joint (right) + 16 mm (width of transition profile) = 26 mm (see drawing)
OR: you place the rail before placing the floor.
Important: With Floorify gluedown floors, you don’t need a transition profile between different rooms or areas. Because the floor is directly glued to the subfloor, it offers greater dimensional stability. As a result, it hardly expands or contracts due to temperature changes.
Even when you extend the floor across multiple rooms, or when one room has underfloor heating and the other doesn't, the floor remains perfectly in place without interruptions. This means: no expansion joint needed and no transition profiles required.
