Can you install a bath on a Floorify vinyl floor?

With click vinyl floors:

Yes, you can install a bath on a Floorify vinyl floor, but keep in mind certain conditions:

  • The bath should not weigh more than 1000kg (filled)

  • The weight of the bath should be distributed over the floor, so it should not rest on 4 legs only (max point load: 50kg/cm²).

If the bath does not meet the above conditions, it is best not to continue laying the floor under the bath. If you lay the floor around the pool, make sure there is always an expansion joint of 5 mm. Make sure that no water can run into the expansion joint, so that no moisture gets underneath the floor.

With Gluedown vinyl floors:

Yes, with a gluedown vinyl floor, a bathtub can be placed directly on top without any issues:

  • Fully adhered to the subfloor = highly stable and resistant to heavy loads

  • No limitations in terms of weight or point load

  • The floor can be installed underneath the bathtub
