Should I use a moisture barrier with a Floorify floor?

Yes, when installing a Floorify floor on a concrete substrate or another substrate that is sensitive to moisture, the use of a moisture barrier is recommended. This prevents any moisture from the subfloor from damaging the floor. Although Floorify floors are waterproof, moisture from below can still affect the subfloor and the life of the floor. A moisture barrier helps to keep your floor and the space underneath dry and in good condition.

There are different types of moisture barriers. A plastic moisture barrier, such as a vapor-proof foil, may only be used in combination with click floors. In addition, there is a liquid moisture barrier (such as an epoxy coating) that is applied directly to the subfloor. This type is suitable for both click and gluedown floors and provides a reliable barrier against rising moisture.

A properly applied moisture barrier protects your floor and helps keep everything dry and in optimal condition.
