Can you install a rigid vinyl floor on a plank floor?
Yes, but you need to take some things into account. Floorify is installed floating. It is important that the surface is level, stable and firmly attached. When installing on a wooden surface, you must remove the existing floor covering first. Check for signs of mould and insects. The underfloor must be level and all loose parts must be nailed down firmly. Use a suitable wooden levelling board or levelling agent to prepare the underfloor. The levelling boards must be screwed down every 30 cm. Ensure that the crawl space under the planks is sufficiently ventilated. Remove all obstacles and ensure that there is sufficient ventilation (minimum of 4 cm² total ventilation openings per m² floor area). This moisture content of the wood must never exceed 10%.
