Can you install a Floorify floor on floating laminate?
Installing a Floorify floor on top of an existing floating laminate floor is not recommended. For proper installation, it is essential that the subfloor is stable, solid, and level.
Both Floorify click floors and gluedown floors require a sound subfloor. Click floors need a flat, non-resilient surface to function properly. Placing two floating floors on top of each other leads to a lack of stability and firmness. For gluedown floors, this is even more critical: they must be fully adhered to a fixed, non-floating subfloor. A floating base is absolutely unsuitable in this case. This increases the risk of damage or loosening and is therefore not a suitable foundation for a new floor.
But don’t worry, your Floorify dream doesn’t have to end here. A floating laminate floor is usually easy to remove.
