Can you install Floorify gluedown floor on any surface?

Flatness
Proper preparation of the subfloor is essential for an optimal result. The subfloor must be clean, flat, permanently dry, and stable. Remove all traces of plaster, paint, glue, oil, grease, etc. The maximum deviation must not exceed 3 mm over 2 linear meters and 1 mm over 20 cm.

Stability
Gluedown floors must be fully adhered to a solid, non-floating subfloor. Therefore, it is important that the subfloor is stable and firm. A floating or soft subfloor is not suitable and increases the risk of loose joints or damage.

Moisture
Although Floorify floors are water-resistant, they are not a solution for structural moisture problems. The subfloor must be sufficiently dry before installation.

Underfloor Heating
Floorify gluedown floors are suitable for water-based underfloor heating systems embedded in the screed. They are not suitable for infrared or electric heating systems due to rapid temperature fluctuations. The temperature of the subfloor must not exceed 27°C. Heating up and cooling down should be done gradually, with a maximum of 5°C per 24 hours. Turn off the underfloor heating at least 48 hours before installation. For cooling, the temperature difference between floor and room must never exceed 4°C.

Suitable Subfloors
Use a leveled, stable cement or anhydrite screed or a solid wooden subfloor that is flat and non-resilient. Carpet, floating floors, or soft underlays are not suitable as subfloors for gluedown floors.
