Can you install a vinyl floor on glued laminate?
Yes, Floorify vinyl floors can be installed both as floating (click floors) and glued (gluedown floors) on a stable and solid subfloor. For existing glued laminate floors, it is essential that the laminate is fully fixed and firmly attached to the subfloor.
For click floors, the subfloor must be flat, stable, and not flexible, and the existing glued laminate must not be loose anywhere. If this is not the case, it is better to remove the glued laminate first.
For gluedown floors, an even more stable and perfectly flat subfloor is required, as the floor is fully glued down. Here too, the glued laminate must be firmly fixed and flat without any loose parts. If this cannot be guaranteed, it is recommended to remove the laminate floor for an optimal result.
