How to finish gluedown vinyl floor?
Want to give your space that perfect finishing touch? Floorify has you covered with matching skirting boards. They’re available in the exact same colour and finish as your chosen Floorify vinyl floor. You can order them through any Floorify dealer. Good to know: When installing a Floorify gluedown vinyl floor, you don’t need any profiles at all.
Finishing against the wall
You can finish against the wall using a standard skirting board (6.1 cm) or a high skirting board (8.9 cm). Our full collection includes matching skirting in every floor colour. Available at all dealers — easy to order!
If fitting skirting isn’t an option (for example in a rental property), go for a stick-on skirting: a slim strip that you simply glue onto the floor.
Prefer a classic white look? You can also choose white or paintable skirting (5.8 cm), which are easy to find at your local Floorify dealer.
Finishing at a window
Thanks to the gluedown installation, no expansion gap is needed.
This means you can lay your floor right up to the window — no end profile required.
Finishing at a door
Since Floorify gluedown floors are only 2.5 mm thick, they usually fit easily under interior doors.
Want to transition to a different floor type or add a doormat? In that case, you can simply use a suitable profile from a local DIY store.
Finishing between two rooms
A Floorify gluedown floor can be seamlessly continued from room to room, no interruptions or profiles needed.
Since the floor is glued down, there’s no need for a 5 mm expansion gap like with click floors.
Only in the case of a clear transition or a difference in height might you choose to use a profile — again, something easily found at the DIY store.
Finishing around or under a kitchen island
One of the big advantages of Floorify gluedown floors:
You can install the entire floor first, then place the kitchen island on top. Everything stays beautifully flat and stable.
Prefer to install the kitchen first? That’s no problem, you can also lay the floor cleanly up to the island. No profile required.
